The Right Way On,
Tim's second album, presents a rich diversity of sounds and
ideas, from the ethereal love song "Just
Look At Me" to the acoustic
warmth of "Winter Rose"...
from up tempo pop tunes like "Lately I Don't Care,"
to the saxophone laden rocker "I'm Just Waitin."
Tim's first release The
Quiet Canadian features a West Coast focus
on themes, while this album expands lyrically to reflect a truly
global perspective. "Goodbye
East Berlin" talks about
the hopeful future for the re-united Germany; "The
Fire of St. Bartholomew"
speaks of the Brazilian rainforest and the need for all of us
to work together. In between albums,
Tim also founded Timberholme Books, which reached the National
Bestseller list with their publication of The True
Intrepid: Sir William Stephenson and
the Unknown Agents.
Simultaneous with the release of The
Right Way On, Timberholme has released a book
of first-hand accounts of the Klondike Gold Rush, The
Right Way On: Memories of W.H.T. Olive.
Timberholme Books has also published a century-old book of
poetry, Lightly Weave:
The Poems of Robert Elliott, which was
the basis for another song on this album.
Tim Lawson's The
Right Way On, not just an album title, but also
a statement of personal belief. One listen, and you'll believe
it too!
