At
A Loss For Words
Tim and the band's latest CD At A Loss
For Words is
their eighth studio effort, and was recently released nationwide. The proceeds from the sale of each CD will be donated
to benefit Genetic Research through the Jessie's
Journey Foundation.
The core of At A Loss For
Words is the combination
of Lawson’s warm, melodic voice and his insightful and compassionate
lyrics. His six long-time bandmates and guest backing singers,
Camille and Saffron Henderson, add a musical richness that keeps
the record sounding fresh with repeated playings. Tim, an ambassador
for MS, feels privileged to be "some sort of catalyst, both
musically and substantively."
As with previous CDs, Timberholme has an independent
marketing campaign to support distribution and fundraising. Having
raised over $75,000 for The Royal Canadian
Legion and $50,000 for
HIV/AIDS in Africa, the company's new non-profit project is placing
50,000 albums at 2,500 independent stores across the country. With
a lofty goal of $500,000 to be raised, Lawson states, "It
all adds up - the combined energy of a wide group of people can
be astounding in effect - and if you don't go for it, you'll never
get it!"
At a loss for
words is currently
available in a unique 4-PAK display at retailers across Canada.
Four different Tim Lawson Band albums, each one giving $10
to charity, compose the presentation. "We
have a compilation called LoveSongs that will benefit
the Multiple
Sclerosis Society of Canada, So
Many Stories benefits The
Stephen Lewis Foundation, Lest
We Forget II supports The
Royal Canadian Legion Poppy
Fund, and At
A Loss For Words benefits genetic
research through Jessie's
Journey - The Foundation for Gene and
Cell Therapy,” says Lawson. “This is a way to treat
yourself to great music and support a cause close to your heart."
