Robert Elliott
|
|
Born in 1858, Robert Elliott had an unusual
life for his time in history. Because he was the youngest son of three, he
was able to pursue arts and science instead of farming. Robert became an
expert on the natural history of the area and was known as the "Poet
of Plover Mills." His short life left the legacy of a thoughtful man
who cared deeply for friends. A plaque to his memory was unveiled at
Plover Mills Schools on December 2, 1968.
Robert Elliott died in 1902 at the age of
44.
